unicredit_usl_magazzini_vr_04The renovation of the “former Warehouses” industrial complex in Verona aims to return an urban space to the city. The area is a strategic hub for Verona because it is located to the intersection of two main street near the fair complex. The project concerns also the renovation of four buildings called 23-24 used as new ASL headquarters and building 25-26 as new Unicredit bank Headquarters. The buildings have a reinforced concrete structure with a structural system in which lateral loads are mainly resisted by shear concrete walls and vertical loads are resisted by spatial frames. The floors are composed of 70 cm high beams and a 15cm thin slab. The transversal spacing of these beams and of the roof steel arches derives from architectural requirements.
