Over the past two decades the “Valerio Catullo” Airport Society assigned different tasks: the design for the extension of the aircraft parking space including rainwater collection, disposal system and lighting system, the design for the construction of a new link road connecting with the runway, the structural testing of the new “Arrivals” terminal, the design of the seismic rehabilitation of the existing “Departures” terminal with new extensions and elevations, involving the use of innovative materials (for example, fibre-reinforced polymer), metal and concrete bracings, strengthening of existing foundations.
